Cookie policy
Last updated 16 October 2026
In short
kwikl.com uses one cookie, to keep you signed in, and six small items of browser storage that remember your choices and keep a step on screen. One thing is optional: Google Analytics, which counts visitors, pages and the steps that lead to a reading. In the UK, Europe, Canada and Brazil, and wherever your location can't be told, we ask you once, on your first page, and its cookies are set only after you say yes; until then Google's script runs but sets no cookie and receives only counts that are not tied to you. Elsewhere it is on from the first page, and you can turn it off at any time under your privacy choices, wherever you are; a browser that sends a Global Privacy Control signal is treated as a no. Nothing you type on kwikl.com is sent to Google. Fonts are served from kwikl.com itself. When you pay by card, you do so on Stripe's own payment page, which has its own cookie notice.
Everything we store in your browser
| Name | Type | What it does | How long | Why |
|---|---|---|---|---|
kwikl_session | Cookie, first party (HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Lax) | Keeps you signed in after you open a sign-in link. | 30 days, or until you sign out | Strictly necessary |
kwikl_cur | Local storage | Remembers the currency you chose on the pricing page. | Until you clear it | Your preference |
kwikl.tenant | Local storage | Remembers which workspace you last opened in the app. | Until you clear it | Your preference |
kwikl.plan | Local storage | Remembers the plan you chose on the pricing page while you create your account, so Settings can offer it. | 7 days, or until you pay or clear it | Strictly necessary for that step |
kwikl.pending | Session storage | Keeps the plan you are saving while you create an account. | Until you close the tab | Strictly necessary for that step |
kwikl.iris | Session storage | Keeps your conversation with IRIS on screen while you move between pages. | Until you close the tab | Strictly necessary for that conversation |
kwikl_consent | Local storage | Remembers whether you said yes or no to Google Analytics, so we ask once. | Until you clear it | Your choice |
_ga, _ga_TMGMES96M3 | Cookies, Google Analytics (first party, set by Google's script) | Tell visits apart so Google Analytics can count visitors, pages and the steps that lead to a reading. Where consent is required (the UK, Europe, Canada, Brazil) set only after you say yes; elsewhere set from the first page unless you say no. | Up to 2 years, or until you say no on the cookie preferences page | Analytics; your yes first where the law asks for it |
Do you need to agree to these?
Storage that is strictly necessary for a service you ask for, such as staying signed in, does not need consent under UK and EU rules. The preference items are set only when you make a choice, such as picking a currency or opening a workspace. Google Analytics is the one optional thing: where the law asks for consent first, it waits for your yes. Anything else optional will be asked for first and listed here before it is used.
Your choices
- See and clear what is stored on this device on the cookie preferences page.
- Signing out removes the sign-in cookie.
- Your browser settings can block or delete cookies and storage at any time; the public site works without them.
