For brands

A shelf, not an advertisement.

Kwik L’IRIS is a house of companions that adults design, dress and talk to. Your brand can have a shelf in it: your things, drawn for the house, and worn because someone chose them.

For adults, 18 and over. No member is sold, followed or named.

The promise

Two promises, kept by the same rules.

A brand pays to be on the shelf. The member chooses to wear it. The brand never learns who the member is.

What your brand can count on

  • An adult house

Every member confirms they are 18 or over. Nothing here is made for children.

  • No romance, no sexual content

A companion is a friend and never a partner. It is written into its charter, and it holds when a member asks.

  • You see it before anyone does

Your line is placed as a draft. You look at it on every character, and it opens only when you say so.

  • One press takes it down

If either of us wants the shelf closed, it leaves the kiosk the same day.

  • Care comes first

If a member writes of harming themselves, the companion answers with care and shows real crisis lines for their country. That answer is never held back by a plan.

  • Lines we do not take

Alcohol, tobacco and vapes, gambling, weapons, adult content, political campaigns, lending and speculative finance, and anything that makes a medical claim.

What a member can count on

  • A partner’s things carry the partner’s name

Nothing of a partner is dressed up as the house’s own.

  • Worn by choice

No companion arrives wearing a brand. A member tries a thing on, and keeps it only if they want it.

  • No brand speaks through a companion

A companion does not recommend, praise or bring up a brand because it has a shelf here. That, too, is in its charter.

  • The brand never learns who you are

A brand reads counts: how often a thing was tried on, bought, given and worn. Each is rounded down to the ten, and a number under ten is never said.

  • No brand’s code runs here

A partner’s line is a drawing. No script, tag or pixel of a partner is loaded on any page.

  • What you bought stays yours

If a line leaves the kiosk, nobody can buy it any more, and everyone who owns a piece of it keeps it.

How a shelf works

From your drawing to a companion, in four steps.

  1. We draw your line

Your things become vector drawings for the seven places a companion wears something: eyes, head, neck, wrist, feet, a bag, the face. Send us art, or references to draw from.

  2. You see it on all nine

Each thing is placed by a character’s own eyes, crown, neck, wrists and feet. One drawing fits every character, in every coat and finish.

  3. It opens

At once, or as a drop: on a day and an hour you choose, first in the kiosk for as long as its days run.

  4. You read your figures

On a page of your own, opened with a link from the house. Counts only, week by week.

A sample shelf

Six things, one line, nine characters.

Drawn by the house to show the format a partner’s line arrives in. Each thing is worn here by a different companion of the Cast, and fits them all.

“Partner line” is a placeholder, and these six are the house’s own drawings. A real name and a real mark appear only under a signed partnership. Prices in US dollars; taxes may apply.

What you read

Counts, and nothing else.

A partner has a page of its own, opened with a link from the house. This is how it reads. The numbers below are an example.

A partner sees

  • How often each thing was tried on, bought, given and shared, week by week
  • How many saved companions wear it now
  • Which money it was paid in: dollars, rupees, dirhams or pounds

A partner never sees

  • A member’s name, address, handle or iris
  • What anyone said to a companion
  • Any one person’s choices
  • A number under ten

What a brand can take

Four ways in.

By the month

A shelf

Your line in the kiosk, under your name, on every character.

By the week

A featured drop

Your line opens on a day and an hour, and is first in the kiosk while its days run.

When the Commons opens

An evening in the Commons

An occasion of yours, held in the house.

By agreement

A physical edition

A piece made with L’Atelier, numbered, with its twin on the companion.

Members pay the price beside each thing, once. The house keeps a part of each sale, and the rest is yours.

The rate card comes with the kit. Ask for the kit

The terms, in brief

Eight lines, in plain words.

  1. The agreement is between your company and KWIK L Inc. It is signed before anything of yours is shown.
  2. Your marks and your art stay yours. You give the house leave to draw and show them inside Kwik L’IRIS while the shelf is open.
  3. The house reviews every drawing before it is placed, and may decline one.
  4. Your things are labelled with your name wherever they are shown.
  5. No member data changes hands, in either direction. You receive counts, rounded down to the ten.
  6. Either side can close the shelf. The notice is written into the agreement.
  7. Members keep what they bought. When a shelf closes, its line is no longer sold, and the pieces members own stay on their companions.
  8. A shelf and a drop are invoiced by KWIK L Inc. Your part of what members pay is settled each month, with a statement of counts.

This is a summary, not an offer. The signed agreement is what binds.

Questions

Is this advertising?

No. Nothing is shown to a member because of who they are or what they said. Your things sit on a shelf in the kiosk, under your name, and a member puts one on only if they choose to.

Who are the members?

Adults, 18 and over, who design a companion and talk to it. The house is open in English, Hindi and Arabic, with prices in US dollars, Indian rupees, UAE dirhams and pounds sterling.

What do you need from us?

Your marks and, for each thing, vector art or references to draw from, and the name the line should carry. The house does the drawing and the fitting.

Can our things be free?

Yes. A thing can cost nothing, and every member can then wear it.

Can we see who wears our things?

No. You see how many, and never who.

Will a companion talk about our brand?

Not because you have a shelf. A companion is nobody’s salesperson: it is in its charter. If a member asks about a brand, it answers honestly, as it would about anything.

What happens to our line if we leave?

It leaves the kiosk and can no longer be bought. Members who own a piece of it keep it.

Do you take every brand?

No. The house does not take alcohol, tobacco and vapes, gambling, weapons, adult content, political campaigns, lending and speculative finance, or anything that makes a medical claim.

How do we begin?

Write to us below. A person answers within two working days, with the kit: the rate card, the terms in brief and a page of your own.

We use what you write here to answer you, and for nothing else. It is kept for two years after our last word to each other, then erased; ask, and it is erased sooner. See the privacy notice.
